Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety is our nervous system’s tool for keeping us safe and motivating us to do well. But anxiety shouldn’t be the theme song of our daily lives. We are not meant to be swimming in stress or knocked over by waves of panic all the time. In fact, it’s exhausting and detrimental to our health.

If tension, worry, perfectionism, or a need for control affect your well-being and relationships, then it’s time to address them. Our region is filled with hard-working people with lots of obligations. No matter how much is on your plate, how many responsibilities you are juggling, you deserve relief.

Anxiety Therapy

Therapy for anxiety will help you:

  • Explore the root causes of your anxiety
  • Pinpoint sources of stress that can be addressed or eliminated
  • Learn how to manage racing thoughts and physical symptoms of anxiety
  • Discover habitual thought patterns that are putting your anxiety into overdrive
  • Learn how to let go and relinquish control, at least some of the time

What about medication?

For some people, medication can provide relief and facilitate progress in therapy. As a clinical social worker, I do not prescribe medication. However, I can provide psychiatry referrals as needed. With client permission, I collaborate with prescribing physicians to ensure clients are receiving high-quality, comprehensive care.
